Swan Lake - Lizzie, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George west, died at their home last Sunday [January 1, 1893] of typhoid pneumonia. She was an estimable young lady of whom all spoke with much praise. Her friends are numerous and she will long be remembered and missed in this vicinity, and there is not a heart here but what goes out with sympathy to the family in their great sorrow.

“We shall meet her at home we shall meet her
When the sorrows of life shall be o’er.
Our loved one, we soon hope to meet her
On Eden’s fair beautiful shore.
The glorious thought how consoling.
To think that the time is so nigh,
When Jesus the future controlling
Shall bring us to join her on high.”

“We shall meet her at home, we shall meet her
Where nothing can ever divide.
Where sickness and death can not harm her
Nor tear her again from our side.
We shall wander by life’s glowing river,
‘Neath the shades of life’s tree we shall roam,
With the glory of God shining o’er us,
We shall greet her, we’ll meet her at home.”
(Northern Vindicator, Estherville, IA, January 5, 1893)
