Services for Anna K. Ware were held today, Wednesday, April 12, 2000, at the United Methodist Church in Estherville, IA. Rev. Larry Willey officiated.

Burial was in East Side Cemetery, Estherville, Iowa. Henry –Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home of Estherville, Iowa was in charge of the arrangements.

Anna Katherine Reimers [Reimer?], the daughter of Henry and Katherine (Schulinburg) Reimers, was born December 23, 1912, in Emmetsburg, Iowa, and departed this life on Sunday, April 9, 2000, at the Good Samaritan Care Center in Estherville, Iowa, at the age of 87 years, three months and 16 days.

She received her education in the Fenton, Iowa schools.

On September 21, 1935, Anna was united in marriage to Francis H. Ware in Yankton, South Dakota. Following their marriage, the couple lived in the Terril, Iowa area and famed in the Rodman and Fenton, Iowa area. They also lived in the Graettinger, Iowa area.

Francis owned the East Side Café in Graettinger and Anna assisted him with the operation of the café. The couple moved to Estherville in 1951.

Anna was employed at Estherville Fish Line and P.G. Gray Poultry. She was also employed at Holy Family Hospital in Estherville.

Following their retirement, the couple lived in the Superior, Iowa and in Shore Acres on the north side of Big Spirit Lake. They later moved to Wallingford, Iowa. Francis died February 28, 1999.

Anna has been a resident of the Good Samaritan Center. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Estherville.

Anna has been preceded in death by her husband; two grandsons, Francis J. Ware and Timothy F. Ware; her parents; two brothers, Billy and Edward Reimers; and one sister, Freda Weisbrod. (Graettinger Times, Graettinger, IA, April 12, 2000)
