Final Rites on Thursday
Funeral services for Mrs. Leonard Tangeros, 50, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Reese Funeral Home, Rev. William R. Noland officiating.

Burial will be in East Side Cemetery. Friends may call at the Reese Funeral Home after 9 a.m. Wednesday until time of family services at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

Mrs. Tangeros died unexpectedly about 11 a.m. yesterday at her home following a heart attack. An illness of the past month was not related to a heart condition.

Lois Marie Hedwick was born Nov. 8, 1915, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O.E. Hedwick, at Hot Springs, S.D. She lived with her family in Titonka and Sibley before coming to Estherville in 1922. Her father was employed by the Chicago and Rock Island Railroad.

She received her education in Estherville schools and attended Estherville Junior College.

Dec. 1, 1936, she was married to Leonard J. Tangeros in Estherville. Since their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Tangeros had lived here. Mr. Tangeros is employed by the Rock Island Railroad.

A member of the Methodist Church and the Degree of Honor, she was a past president of the women’s auxiliary of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Engineers.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Ann) DeMoss of Tujunga, Calif., and Linda, a student at North Dakota State University; one granddaughter Lenette DeMoss; and her mother.

She was preceded in death by her father. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 30, 1965)
