Services for Horace Sigler Tomorrow
Funeral services for Horace Sigler, 84-year-old Estherville resident who died at Holy Family hospital yesterday will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Methodist church. Burial will be in Eastside cemetery.

Mr. Sigler died at 4:30 a.m. of a broken hip and complications after he had been hospitalized for nearly three weeks.

Born July 30, 1876, in Keokuk, Mr. Sigler received his education in the Lee county public schools. He married Etta Truck on May, 1888, in Carroll and the couple lived on farms in Lee county, Princeton, Minn. and Milford.

He retired 18 year ago and moved to Estherville where his wife died Aug. 30, 1947 [per cemetery records & gravestone, 1946].

Mr. Sigler is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Elma Marsh of Windom, Minn., and Mrs. Bill Van DeVanter of Estherville; and three grandchildren, Dale Holroyd of Waterloo, Mrs. Verlyn Vedder of Estherville and Mrs. Ray Athey of Estherville.
