Charles Stoffel Services Saturday in Estherville
Charles Frederick Stoffel, 81, Estherville, died early Nov. 1 at Holy Family Hospital, Estherville.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Reese-Henry Chapel, Estherville, with burial following in East Side Cemetery. Friends may call at Reese-Henry Funeral Home until time of services Saturday.

Mr. Stoffel was born Feb. 19, 1892, in Antioch, Ohio, to Mr. and Mrs. Mark Stoffel. He came to Estherville in 1901 and was educated in Estherville schools.

He was married to Jeddie Birdahl [Berdahl] Aug. 6, 1913, in Estherville. He was employed as a decorator and painter for many years and was custodian of Lincoln School for 17 years, retiring in 1957. He was a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Jeddie, Estherville; three sons, Donald Stoffel, Estherville, Ellsworth Stoffel, Spencer, and Herman Stoffel, Spirit Lake; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Rogers, Spencer; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Mary Peterson, Sioux City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, one son and two brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 2, 1973)
