Funeral services are pending for Ray W. Sprague, 79, Estherville, who died Wednesday [March 25, 1970] afternoon at the University Hospital in Iowa City. Reese-Henry Funeral Home in Estherville has charge of arrangements. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 26, 1970)

R.W. Sprague Final Services to Be Saturday
Raymond Walter Sprague, 79, Estherville, died Wednesday afternoon at University Hospitals in Iowa City.

He was born Aug. 20, 1890 in Missouri. On Jan. 3, 1914, he was married to Elisabeth Poscharscky at Estherville. He had lived in the Estherville area for the past 56 years and had been an auto mechanic most of his life.

He is survived by two sons, Vernon, Fairmont, Minn., and Ralph of Dover, Pa.; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren and one sister Mrs. Mabel Sevold, Estherville.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, and one sister.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Reese-Henry Chapel in Estherville with Rev. H. Allen Wirtz officiating. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Reese-Henry Funeral Home until time of services on Saturday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 27, 1970)
