Boulder, Colo. – Services for Mrs. Lawrence (May) Scott, 58, former Gruver and Estherville resident, were held in Berkeley Park Chapel, Denver, April 26. She died April 23, 1985 in a Denver Hospital following cardiac arrest.

May Margaret Klingbeil was born Sept. 9, 1926 at Fort Dodge and was the daughter of John and Theresa Klingbeil. She was a graduate of Gruver High School. Following high school she settled in Denver where she married Lawrence Scott. He died in 1981.

She is survived by two step-children; two sisters: Mrs. William (Olive) Hillmer, Dunnell, Minn. and Mrs. Robert (Edna) Weir, Estherville; four brothers: John, Frank, and Henry Klingbeil, Estherville and Gus Klingbeil, Alexandria, Minn.; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence; parents, three brothers, Fred, William and August Klingbeil. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 9, 1985)
