Estherville – Services for Harry Dan Schroeder, 81, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home with the Rev. Cliff Vanderburgh officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. He died Friday, Dec. 18, 1992 at Holy Family Hospital.

Friends may call at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. Monday.

He was born August 15, 1911 in Revillo, S.D., the son of Henry and Anna (Daniels) Schroeder, and lived in South Dakota until he was 18 years old and attended rural school near Revillo. He moved to Iowa and worked as a laborer and farmer in the area. On Sept. 18, 1935 he married Annie Isebrand at Forest City. He also was custodian in the Estherville schools for 16 years, retiring in 1972. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include his wife, Annie, Estherville; sons; Harvey and Harold of Estherville, Donald of Phoenix, Ariz., and Allen of Armstrong; daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Elsie) Smith, Spirit Lake and Mrs. Dennis (Eileen) Grems, Gruver; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother Clarence of Bozeman, Mont. and a sister, Mrs. Rosella Ross, Estherville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter; one great-granddaughter and one brother, Warren. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 19, 1992)
