Rites Held Monday for August Schrader
August Frederick Schrader, 63, former resident of this area, died Thursday afternoon at Veterans’ hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D., of a cerebral hemorrhage after being ill since July 23. Services were held Monday in Estherville.

Mr. Schrader was born July 4, 1898, in Cook, Neb., the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Schrader. He was educated in Brock, Neb., schools. In 1926 he moved with his brother to the Graettinger area and later to Estherville where he was employed at the Tobin Packing Company. He moved to a cottage on Spirit Lake in 1954.

Mr. Schrader was a member of the Evangelical Church of Talmadge, Neb.

He is survived by three brothers, William of rural Emmetsburg; Carl of Brock, Neb., and Herman of Nebraska City, Neb., and five sisters, Mrs. Hilda Sayer of Preu, Neb.; Mrs. Frieda Gaudhat of Auburn, Neb.; Mrs. Ella Carpon, Cook, Neb., Mrs. Sophia Gauchat and Mrs. Leila Peterson, both of Brock, Neb.
