Betty Schlotfeldt Services Set Saturday in Estherville
Estherville – Betty June Schlotfeldt, 54, Estherville, died of a heart attack at 6:40 p.m. March 13 in Holy Family Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Calvary Baptist Church with the rev. G.O. St. Lawrence officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. Friends may call at Reese-Henry Funeral Home, Estherville after noon on Friday.

She was born on June 16, 1919 in Sioux Falls to Mr. and Mrs. John Harmon. She was graduated from Sioux Falls schools, attended Sioux Falls College and was graduated from Estherville Junior College.

On Nov. 26, 1938 she was married to Harold (Buck) Schlotfeldt in the Methodist parsonage, Estherville. At the time of her death she was employed by Dale Jacobson Inc. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Wa-Tan-Ye and HELP.

Mrs. Schlotfeldt is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Karen Weir of Estherville and Mrs. Delmar (Bonnie) Phillips of Spirit Lake; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Henry Sechser and Naomi Harmon, both of Sioux Falls. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, one daughter, Diana, and one brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 15, 1974)
