Estherville – Gary Lee Sandvig, 34, died Sept. 29 at his home in Estherville. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, at the Estherville Lutheran Church with the Rev. Stanley Eyberg officiating. Burial will be at the East Side Cemetery.

Friends may call at Henry Funeral Home, Estherville, after 10 a.m. Friday. The family requests that no flowers be sent.

Mr. Sandvig was born Feb. 5, 1942 in Davenport to Gordon and Martha Jacobsen Sandvig and was educated in the Estherville schools. He was married to Sharon Whiting April 15, 1962 at Ruthven and had lived his entire life in Estherville. He was employed at Sandvig’s DX, Art’s-Way Manufacturing Co. and Iowa Lakes Community College until his health failed. He was a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his widow, Sharon, Estherville; one daughter, Robin, 13, at home; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Sandvig, Estherville.
