Estherville – Funeral services for Carl August Rosenow, 78, Estherville, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Estherville United Methodist Church with burial at the East Side Cemetery. Pastor Mitchell Juergens of the Spirit Lake Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints and the Rev. Travis Cannaday of the United Methodist Church, Armstrong, will officiate. Military rites will be held at the graveside.

Mr. Rosenow was born November 20, 1896 at Earling to John H. and Cora A. Green Rosenow and received his education at Earling. He was married to Edith Black March 25, 1928 at Arion and moved to Estherville in 1942 where they farmed until retiring 17 years ago and moved into Estherville. He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, the Estherville American Legion and a veteran of World War I.

Survivors include his wife, Edith; two daughters, Mrs. Jack (Alma) Benjamin, Estherville; and Mrs. William (Lillian) Joor, Arlington Heights, Ill.; five grandchildren; three brothers, Pearley, Tennant; George, Earling; William, Spirit Lake.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
