Estherville – Services for Alice M. Natterstad, 76, Estherville, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville, with the Rev. Dale Jenson of the Immanuel Lutheran Church south of Gruver officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery.Mrs. Natterstad died Tuesday [August 1, 1978] evening at Holy Family Hospital, Estherville, following a short illness.
Friends may call at the Fuhrman Funeral Home until time of services.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Lock, she was born Oct. 3, 1901, at Tonica, Ill. She grew up in Gibson City, Ill., where she received her education and graduated from high school. She later attended Teacher’s College at Bloomington, Ill.
She was married to Ole Natterstad on June 7, 1923, and the couple moved to Emmet County shortly after their marriage, where they farmed until retiring in 1958. Mrs. Natterstad was also employed for many years at the Good Samaritan Center, Estherville, and was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church south of Gruver.
Mrs. Natterstad is survived by her husband, Ole; one son, John Natterstad, Estherville; three daughters, Mrs. Jack (Joyce) Weaver, Mrs. Norman (Doris) Christensen and Mrs. Archie (Lois) Sunde, all of Estherville; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and one sister, Mrs. Fred Pufohl, Clarence, Ill.
