Estherville – Memorial services for Myrtle I. Natterstad, 83, of Estherville will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tues., Dec. 31 at the United Methodist Church in Estherville with the Rev. Larry Willey officiating. Interment will be held at East Side Cemetery, Estherville at a later date. She died on Saturday, December 28 at Spencer Municipal Hospital, Spencer.

There will be no visitation prior to the services.

She was born on November 9, 1913 in Martin County, Minn., the daughter of Ernest and Clare (Weller) Harvego. She has lived all her life in the Estherville area. She received her education in Emmet Consolidated School. She was united in marriage to H. Russell Natterstad on September 18, 1936 at the United Methodist Parsonage in Estherville. She was an active partner with her husband in NATMAR Manufacturing Co. She has been a resident of the Rosewood Manor Care Center in Estherville for several months.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church and UMW. She also was a member of the MM Club, Order of the Eastern Star and the White Shrine. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Holy Family Hospital.

She is survived by her husband Russell of Estherville; two daughters, Mrs. Mark (Jean) Natterstad Penn of Fridley, Minn.; Mrs. John (Diana) O’Connor of New Brighton, Minn.; seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one sister, Irene Aagard of Estherville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 30, 1996)
