Huntington Man Was 86 At Death
George Peterson [Petersen] of Huntington died Aug. 12 at Holy Family hospital at the age of 86.

He was born Aug. 1, 1869 at Clinton. When he was about six years old, he moved with his parents to Ida county. He lived there until 1918 when he moved to Schaller. He moved to Huntington in 1920 and farmed in the area until his retirement. After he retired he lived at the home of his step-daughter, Mrs. Andrew Anderson, in Huntington.

Mr. Petersen was married to Mrs. George Dadt [Anna M. Stange] in 1920 at Sac City. She preceded him in death.

Survivors include three stepsons Herman and Roy Lemke [Lembke?] of Schaller, William Dadt of Ida Grove and five step-daughters, Mrs. John Hinricksen [Hendricksen?] of Mapleton, Mrs. P.A. Olbertz of Lamar, Mo., Mrs. Henry Franzkowiak of Schaller, Mrs. Hans F. Greenwold of Ida Grove and Mrs. Andrew Anderson of Huntington.

Funeral services were held at the Sandin funeral home with the Rev. L.G. Hinderaker officiating. Burial was in Eastside cemetery.

Pallbearers were Irvin Vanderhiede, Earl Stick, Lynn Weir, Laurence Stripling, Wesley Holl and Kenneth Larson.

Out-of-town friends and relatives at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. William Prokasky and Vernon of Tracey, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Christ Christenson of Odebolt, Alfred Christenson of Alpha, Mr. and Mrs. Hans Lemke of Early, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Hansen, Roy and Herman Lemke, Mrs. Hattie Olson, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Franzkowiak of Schaller, Jim Irwin of Galva, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Franzkowiak of Arthur, William Franzkowiak of Holstein, Mr. and Mrs. Hans Greenwold and Mr. and Mrs. William Dadt of Ida Grove.
