Frank Pfaff Rites Friday
Funeral services for Frank D. Pfaff, 80, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Reese-Henry Funeral Home at Estherville.Mr. Pfaff died at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, 1972, at Holy Family Hospital after a long illness.
He was born Sept. 3, 1891, at Sioux City, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pfaff. He received his education in Sioux City schools.
He was married June 10, 1915, to Kathryn Mooney at Sac City. Mr. Pfaff was a baker by trade and operated a bakery in Sac City from the time of his marriage until 1937 when he moved to Estherville to manage the Pfaff Bakery Company here. He retired in 1956.
He was a member of Masonic Lodge, North Star No. 447 in Estherville, Knights of Pythias and White Shrine Auxiliary.
Surviving are his wife, Kathryn; a son-in-law Linn Foderberg; a grandson, Gary Foderberg of Overland Park, Kans.; a great-grandson, Joel Edward Foderberg and a great-granddaughter, Amy Linn Foderberg, both of Overland Park; and two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Pierce, Mason City, and Mrs. Martha Foye, Santa Monica, Calif.
His parents and his daughter, Frances Foderberg preceded him in death.
Masonic services will be held at Reese-Henry Funeral home at 7:30 tonight (Thursday).
The Rev. H. Allen Wirtz will officiate at the funeral and burial will be in East Side Cemetery.
Friends may call at Reese-Henry Funeral Home until time of the funeral.
Pallbearers will be Stanley Larson, Stanley Young, Robert Wells, Kenneth Bixby, Lehman Rovn and Lee Blum. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 6, 1972)
