Lloyd Nunn Dies; Services Are Pending
Lloyd Bruce Nunn, 81, Gardston Hotel, Estherville, died at 8:45 Wednesday [March 24, 1971] evening at the Good Samaritan Center.He was born March 2, 1889, at Patterson to Mr. and Mrs. James Nunn. He was educated in Adel and graduated from the Adel High School. He was married May 2, 1912 to Coral Watling.
He was a locomotive engineer for the Milwaukee Railroad on the Des Moines to Spirit Lake run. He retired in 1946 and the couple lived in their cottage at Spirit Lake for two years before moving to Estherville, where they have made their home since.
Survivors include his wife, Coral; one daughter, Mrs. W. P. (Necia) Hitchcock, Des Moines; three sons, Col. L.B. Nunn Jr., Gulfport, Miss.; Phillip W. Nunn, Nashwauk, Minn.; and David N. Nunn, Redding, Calif.; eight grandchildren, one brother, Paul Nunn, Belleview, Wash.; three sisters, Mrs. Lee Loens, Perry, Mrs. Robert Jamison, Phoenix, Ariz.; and Mrs. Madelin Kohl, Tacoma, Wash.
Funeral services are pending at Reese-Henry Funeral Home in Estherville. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 25, 1971)
