Estherville – Services for Harold E. “Chris” Christman, 56, of Estherville, will be held Tuesday, 1:30 p.m. at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville with interment in East Side Cemetery. Monsignor Tom Nash will officiate the services. Military Graveside Rites will be presented by V.F.W. Post #3388 and American Legion Post #91 both of Estherville.

Visitation will be from 12 p.m. Tuesday until time of service at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

He was born Oct. 18, 1942 at Smithland, the son of George Sr. and Nellie (Heywood) Christman. He attended Smithland School graduating from high school there. He then served in the United States Army. Following service he moved to Sioux City and in 1977 moved to Estherville.

He was employed by Rohlin Construction the past 20 years, retiring in 1998.

Survivors include son: Christopher Koenck, Manhattan, Kans., Greg Baldwin, Estherville, Jeff Baldwin, Sioux City; daughters, Angie Koenck, Gail Ukasick and Jody Van Thuyne all of Estherville; 11 grandchildren; sisters: Mrs. David (Susan) Conyers, Omaha, Neb. and Mary Sorenson, Sioux City; brothers: David Christman and George Christman Jr. both of Sioux City.
