T.E. Rogers Dies at Palo Alto Hospital
Theodore Edward Rogers, 91, died Saturday at Palo Alto Hospital at Emmetsburg.

He was born April 27, 1875, at West Bend, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Rogers.

He was married in 1902 to Margaret Teresa Clayton of Estherville. They moved to Zap, N.D., where he operated a theater and dance hall. Mrs. Rogers was postmaster of Zap for 25 years.

After their retirement in 1957, they returned to Estherville, and lived with Mrs. Rogers’ sister, Miss Ella Clayton.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and four brothers. Survivors are two nieces, two nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick’s church, Rev. James H. Duhigg officiating. Burial will be in St. Pat’s cemetery.

There will be a Rosary at 8 o’clock tonight at Fuhrman Funeral Home. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 20, 1967)
