F.J. Campisano Final Services on Saturday
Frank Joseph Campisano, 72, Estherville, died suddenly at his home Wednesday [September 3, 1969] of a heart attack.

He was born March 5, 1897, at Joliet, Ill., [per WWI draft record, Coal City, Ill.] to Mr. and Mrs. Emil Opelt. He received his early education in Joliet and came to Iowa at the age of 12. On Feb. 12, 1936, he was married to Bridget Ellen Kane at Emmetsburg. He was a member of the Estherville Fire Department for 40 years and a member of the County Social Welfare Board and St. Patrick’s Church. He was a real estate and insurance dealer.

He is survived by his wife, one son, Francis, of Los Angeles; one daughter, Margaret of Marshfield, Wis.; and two brothers, Ed J. Opelt and Louis Krier, both of Estherville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Theodore and Reinhard Opelt.

Services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Patrick’s church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. James H. Duhigg will officiate. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Friday in Fuhrman’s Funeral Home, Estherville.

Friends may call at the funeral home until Saturday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 4, 1969)
