Services for Max Sheldon Brown, 58, Estherville, will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m.at the Fuhrman Funeral Home with interment in East Side Cemetery. The Rev. Neal Armstrong of the Gruver Presbyterian Church will officiate. He died Tuesday, Feb 26, 1985 at Holy Family Hospital.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Brown was born June 10, 1926 at Estherville, the son of Harry and Ethel (Wheatley) Brown. He lived on a farm northwest of Estherville with his parents until 1979 when he became a resident of Rosewood Manor Nursing Home. He attended the First Presbyterian Church in Estherville.

Survivors include six cousins, Lois Feger, Naomi Fox, Robert Wheatley, Myron Guge and George Guge, Estherville, and Vernice Houts, Sherburn, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Verlyn. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 2, 1985)
