Dye George, 1862-1926

Dye George was born January 4, 1862, in Morgan County, Ohio, and died March 19, 1926, at Dolliver, Iowa, aged 64 years, 2 months, 13 days. He came with his parents to Ringgold County, Iowa, in his early boyhood and lived in Iowa the greater part of his life. February 14, 1883, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth C. Beard. To this union were born three daughters, Mrs. F.S. Willey, of Mount Ayr, Iowa; Mrs. W.H. Wright, of Lake Park, Iowa; and Mrs. E.H. Willey, of Estherville, Iowa.

A number of years ago he became affliliated with the Methodist Episcopal church and remained a faithful follower of his Lord to the end.

He leaves to mourn his death his wife, three daughters, nine grandchildren, one sister, one brother and a host of friends.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon by Rev. Reese at Friends church. Interment was made in the Okoboji cemetery at Arnolds Park.
