Gustafson Services Thursday
Funeral services for Floyd Leonard Gustafson, who died Feb. 19, 1973, in Phoenix, Ariz., will be held at 12 noon Thursday at St. Patrick’s Church, Estherville, with Father Laurence Burns officiating. Interment will be made in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Estherville.Rosary will be recited at 8:45 p.m. today (Wednesday) in Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherivlle.
Mr. Gustafson, 74, died at 11:30 a.m. Monday. His death was attributed to a massive heart attack. He had undergone surgery Thursday.
He was born Feb. 2, 1899, in Wheaton, Minn., to Charles and Alfie Gustafson. He was educated in Minnesota schools and on July 17, 1930, he was married to Beatrice Luksik at Comfrey, Minn.
After marriage they came to Estherville, where he owned and operated the Butterfield Produce Co., since 1931. Later known as Farmer’s Egg Co., the business was sold in 1971, when Mr. Gustafson retired.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Alan (Jo Ann) Tostenson and Mrs. Nadine Gudgell, both of Estherville; seven grandchildren, Laura, Cindy, Chuck and Gary Tostenson and Steve, Cathy and Julie Gudgell; and one sister, Mrs. Alga Brubacher, Butterfield, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
