Markham Rites Scheduled for 3 p.m. Monday
Harrison Markham, 86,a resident of Estherville for many years died at 6:30 p.m. Friday [June 1, 1962] at Balmer Nursing Home. He had been a resident of the home for four years. Death resulted from complications of old age.

He was born Sept. 20, 1875 in Fayette County, Iowa, and was married to Addie Donohoe at Grundy Center on Sept. 20, 1875 [1895?]. Mr. Markham had been a laborer for many years in the Estherville area.

He is survived by one sister, Mrs. May Strelow of Huntington Park, Calif. His wife preceded him in death in May, 1959.

Last rites will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at the Sternborg-Reese Chapel with the Rev. Walter Pedersen officiating. Burial will be in East Side cemetery. Friends may call at Sternborg-Reese Funeral home from noon Sunday until time of services. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, June 2, 1962)
