Ernest Mace
Estherville – Graveside services for Ernest H. Mace, 80, Mason City, a former Estherville resident, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the East Side Cemetery with the Rev. James Harmon of the Christian Church officiating. He died Monday afternoon at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Mason City.

Mr. Mace was born July 5, 1895 at Ottumwa to Alvin and Sara Seward Mace. He was employed with the Rock Island Railroad in Estherville until 1927 when he moved to Mason City where he was employed as a bricklayer.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Charles Clause, Chesterton, Ind.; and Mrs. Lyle Hauk, Washington; 16 grandchildren; one brother, Alvia Coleman, Estherville; one sisters, Mrs. Ted Burns, Estherville; one sister-in-law, Mrs. A.B. Mace; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
