Estherville – Services for Mrs. Harry (Bernice) Woodling, 79, will be held Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with interment in the church cemetery. Father A.O. Grendler will officiate. She died Saturday morning, Dec. 11, at Holy Family Hospital.

Friends may call at the Fuhrman Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Monday. Rosary will be recited Monday evening at 7:30 at the funeral home.

Bernice Bormann was born Dec. 8, 1903 at Cascade, Ia. the daughter of August and Mary Josephine Bormann, and attended Jackson County schools and St. Joseph’s School at Milford. On July 12, 1922 she was united in marriage to Harry Woodling in Estherville and they continued to live here where he was a car salesman. In 1940 the couple moved to Seattle, Wash. where he continued to sell cars. He died in 1961. Mrs. Woodling returned to Estherville in 1967. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, the Legion of Mary and Rosary Society and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include three brothers, Cyril Bormann, Estherville, Gregory Bormann, Emmetsburg, Bernard Bormann, Morris, Minn.; two sisters, Mrs. Lois Thoma, Clare, Ia., Mrs. Correnne Johnson, Fremont, Calif.; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and three brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 13, 1989)
