Estherville – Services for Mrs. Ona D. (Frances) Reynolds, 87, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with interment in the church cemetery. Father Albert O. Grendler will officiate. She died Sunday, April 10, 1983 at Holy Family Hospital.

Friends may call at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home in Estherville after 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. Legion of Mary rosary will be prayed at 4:30 p.m. and parish rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. both in the funeral home chapel.

Frances Maloney was born March 1, 1896 at LeMars, the daughter of James and Mattie (Benedict) Maloney. She attended LeMars and Emmetsburg schools. She was united in marriage to Ona D. Reynolds on Nov. 12, 1918 at Estherville and has lived most of her life here. She worked as a matron at the swimming pool and later at Holy Family Hospital.

Mrs. Reynolds was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Legion of Mary, Altar and Rosary Society and Holy Family Hospital Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include one son, Michael Reynolds, Estherville; two daughters, Mary Jo (Mrs. Vernon) Goecke, Estherville and Colleen (Mrs. Jerome) Paulson, Perry; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one brother, Vincent Maloney, Estherville; two sisters, Mrs. Veronica Pessica, Pine Bluff, Ark. And Mrs. Gertrude Diedrich, Huntington Beach, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her husband who died Aug. 8, 1927; one daughter; two sons; parents; four sisters and one brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 11, 1983)
