Mrs. Sivert Loe Dies at Age of 89
Mrs. Sivert (Elisabet) Loe, 89, Estherville resident for 42 years, died Monday [July 31, 1967] at 5:10 p.m. in Holy Family Hospital, her death attributed to complications of advanced age.

Mrs. Loe had been taken to the hospital May 10, 1967, and for two years before that time had lived with her son, Peder.

Elisabet Peterson was born Dec. 8, 1877, at Hgelmeland, Norway, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peder Peterson. She received her education in Norway and came to the United States in 1904. After coming to this country she lived at Luverne, Minn.

She was married Nov. 15, 1913 to Sivert Loe at Jasper, Minn. Mr. and Mrs. Loe lived there until 1925 and then moved to Estherville. Mr. Loe died July 5, 1950.

Mrs. Loe was a longtime member of the Estherville Lutheran Church.

She is survived by one son, Peder Loe of Estherville; and four grandchildren, Jerrilyn, James, Karen and Janet.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Esther; one grandson, Gregory, Loe; her parents, two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services for Mrs. Loe are to be Friday at 2 pm. At the Fuhrman Funeral Home, Rev. Roy M. Hendrickson officiating. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home any time Thursday and until time of services Friday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 1, 1967)
