Rites Set for Paul Linke, 85
Services for Paul Valentine Linke, 85, Estherville, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Reese-Henry Chapel.

Linke died at 3:25 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Hospital after suffering a heart attack. He was born Feb. 14, 1885, at Estherville to Mr. and Mrs. Wilhelm Linke. He was educated in Estherville schools, living here all his life. During the 1930’s he served the town as city manager. He worked with masonry and bridges the rest of his working life. Linke also served on the volunteer fire department for many years.

He is survived by one sister, Mrs. John Rost of Bovey, Minn.; a number of nieces and nephews and grand and great-great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and three sisters.

Burial will be in the East Side Cemetery. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services Thursday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 16, 1970)
