Amy Lingenfelter Rites Monday
Amy Lingenfelter, 92, former Estherville resident, died at 9:50 a.m. Oct. 22, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Winnie Tindal, Moline, Ill.She was born Feb. 17, 1878, at Decorah to Mr. and Mrs. William Cockburn.
She was married Oct. 15, 1898, to Clark Lingenfelter at Spirit Lake. He died in1951. They lived most of their married life in Estherville.
She was a member of the Union Baptist Church of Estherville.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Winnie Tindal, Moline, Ill., and Mrs. Violet Starkey, Estherville; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Keith Cockburn, Terril, and Harry Cockburn, Detroit Lakes, Minn.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Union Baptist Church in Estherville with the Rev. Val Hauck officiating.
Burial is at Eat Side Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Reese-Henry Funeral Home from noon Sunday until noon on Monday at which time the body will be taken to the church. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 23, 1970)
