Rites Set For Mrs. H. Lange Here Tuesday
Mrs. Harold (Ethel Jane) Lange, 60, rural Estherville, died Friday, July 21, 1972, at Holy Family Hospital from cancer.Services will be held tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. at Huntington Methodist Church with the Rev. Richard Pearson officiating. Burial will be made in East Side Cemetery in Estherville.
Mrs. Lange was born Sept. 17, 1911, at Eldora to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ellsworth. She received her education in Cedar Rapids and was married in Cedar Rapids on Sept. 1, 1929, to Harold J. Lange. Following their marriage, they moved to a farm in the Huntington area.
She was employed for a number of years as a nurse’s aide at Holy Family Hospital until illness forced her retirement. She was a member of the Huntington United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Harold, rural Estherville; one son, Steven H. Lange, rural Estherville; one daughter, Mrs. Duane (Betty Jane) Petersen, Terril; five grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Roy Stagges, Aledo, Ill., Mrs. Arthur Alt, Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Leonard Spillane, Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother.
Friends may call at Reese-Henry Funeral Home in Estherville until 9 a.m. tomorrow.
Pallbearers will be Deymond Eubanks, Keith Griffith, Roy Sternborg, Wilford Kolpin, Raymond Dahna and Marlin Paulson. Music will be “In the Garden” and “The Old Rugged Cross,” sung by Mrs. Harold Danielson and Louis Obye. Mrs. Norma Schmeling will be organist. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 24, 1972)
