Final Rites on Monday
Funeral services for Mrs. Dennis Bagan, who died Wednesday [December 21, 1966] at the home of a son in Piedmont, Calif., will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s cemetery.

Mrs. Bagan’s death was attributed to a coronary condition. She was at the Mervin Bagan home when she suffered a fatal heart attack.

Friends may call at the Bagan family home, 809 First Ave. N., where the body will lie in state until time of the funeral.

Rosary will be said at the home by the Catholic Daughters at 4:30 p.m. Saturday. A parish rosary is scheduled Sunday at 8 p.m.

Memorial gifts may be given either to St. Patrick Church or Catholic Jesuit Mission Fund.

Pallbearers will be Claude Timmins, Gene Davis, Dr. William Boise, Leo Fitzgibbons, C. W. Robinson, and Ray Keifer.

Lomena Fahey was born 1889 [October 20] in Galt, Iowa, to Irish immigrants, Julia Bridget Daly Fahey and William J. Fahey. She graduated from Estherville High School in 1908 and taught school until she married the late Dennis A. Bagan who was a local clothier for 40 years.

They had four children, Mrs. L. J. (Denise) O’Brien of Fort Dodge; Earl Bagan of Estherville; Mervin F. Bagan of Piedmont, Calif., and Mrs. D. E. (Irene) Flanagan of Allendale, N.J. Mrs. Bagan had 21 grandchildren. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 23, 1966)
