Harrison Paul Moreau, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Moreau, was born June 8, 1927 in Lena, Louisiana and departed this life at his home on Spirit Lake, Iowa on Thursday, September 3, 1987 at the age of 60 years, 2 months, and 25 days.

He received his education in the Cloutierville, Louisiana schools. Following high school he served in the United States Navy during World War Two as a corpsman.

On May 15, 1946 he was united in marriage to Velda M. Tangeman in Long Beach, California. He then attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, University of Iowa in Iowa City and Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. He received his Doctorate of Chiropractic in 1955. He practiced in Estherville after his graduation until retirement in 1984. He has made Spirit Lake his home since retiring.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spirit Lake and St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Estherville, and V.F.W. Post #3388 of Estherville.

Dr. Moreau is survived by his wife, Velda of Spirit Lake; three sons, Dr. Gary Moreau and his wife, Gloria of Anaheim Hills, California, Mark Moreau of Spirit Lake, Dr. Bill Moreau and his wife, Karen of Estherville; one daughter, Denise Moreau of Anaheim Hills, California; six grandchildren, Amy, Rachel, Jeff, Sarah, Kevin and Craig; one brother, Lloyd Moreau of Pineville, Louisiana; and one sister, Janice Clark of Pineville, Louisiana. He has been preceded in death by one daughter, Elizabeth Ann, and his parents. (MC)
