David Harold Hauber, the son of Harold and Delores (Conway) Hauber, was born June 27, 1967 in Des Moines, Iowa and departed this life at Phoenix, Arizona on Saturday, December 5, 1987 at the age of 20 years, 5 months and 8 days.

He moved with his family to Estherville, Iowa in 1971, where he received his education, graduating from Estherville High School in 1986. He attended Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville.

He was active in football, basketball and baseball while attending high school. He also enjoyed weight lifting, running, and he participated in several triathlons. He was employed at Hy-Vee Food Store in Estherville during high school. Dave moved to the Phoenix area two and one half months ago and was employed by Pimalco Aluminum Company and by the ABCO Food Store in Phoenix.

He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Estherville and a former member of 4-H.

Dave is survived by his daughter, Lindsey Kay Hauber; his fiancé, Krista Cavanaugh of Gilbert, Arizona; his parents, Harold and Dee Hauber of Estherville; one brother, Tom Hauber and his wife Tammy of Mesa, Arizona; four sisters, Deb, Mrs. Paul Gosch of Estherville; Diane, Mrs. Mike Domino of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Jan, Mrs. Craig Kirchner of Beaumont, Texas; Jill Hauber of Estherville; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Conway, Sr., of Emmetsburg, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Carl J. Hauber of Omaha, Nebraska; and by six nieces and 2 nephews. (MC)
