Estherville – Funeral services for Thomas Joseph Keeler, 79, Estherville, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. J. David Hollowood officiating and burial at the East Side Cemetery. He died March 16 at Holy Family Hospital.Mr. Keeler was born Sept. 6, 1896 at Fort Dodge to John and Matilda Smith Keeler. He was educated in Fort Dodge and was married to Nettie Pride Oct. 3, 1915 at Fort Dodge. They moved to Emmet County in 1924 and farmed southwest of Estherville. He was later employed at Tobin Packing Co. and John Morrell and Co. before he retired in 1961. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Nettie, Estherville; four sons, Bohumir Keeler, Sr., Estherville; Carl Keeler, Estherville; Frank Keeler, Yosemite, Calif.; and Eldon Keeler, Estherville; six daughters, Mrs. J.R. (Viola) Hoffmeyer, Estherville; Mrs. Warren (Ruth) Schroeder, Estherville; Mrs. C.H. (Gertrude) Weibel, South Lake Tahoe, Calif.; Mrs. Pauline Mann, Estherville; Mrs. Charles (Ethel) Whitacre, Estherille; and Mrs. Dale (Mary) Ross, Fort Worth, Tex.; 42 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Eva Duckett, Danville, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, two brothers, one daughter, four grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
