Veronica Rosalie (Guerdet) Haisman, the daughter of Anton and Ida (Korrect) Guerdet, was born July 9, 1910, in Armstrong, Iowa. She departed this life on Sunday, March 23, 2008, at Avera Holy Family Health at the age of 97 years old.

She received her education in rural Emmet County schools.

On June 9, 1931, she was united in marriage to Frank Haisman in Armstrong. After their marriage, the couple made their home in rural Emmet County where they were engaged in farming. Veronica was a mother, housewife and also helped Frank with the operation of their farm.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Estherville.

Left to cherish Veronica's memory are her children, Jerry Haisman and his wife, Patsy of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina; Richard Haisman of Lake Center, Iowa; Kenny Haisman and his wife, Diane of Estherville; Betty Reardon and her husband, Rollin "Red" of Estherville; and Kathy Gray and her husband, Bob of Rolfe, Iowa; 22 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Pearson and her husband, Warner of San Pedro, California; Nell Villalva of Los Angeles, California; and brother, Steven Guerdet of Auburn, Washington.

Veronica has been preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Margaret Herke and her parents.
