Estherville – Services for Hulda Morrissey, 83, of Estherville will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Father Tom Topf officiating. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home on Sunday from 4 to 9 p.m. with Legion of Mary at 4 p.m. and the Vigil Service at 7:30 p.m. Mrs. Morrissey died Friday, May 18, 1990 at the Good Samaritan Center in Estherville.

Hulda Ahrens Morrissey was born October 15, 1906 in Estherville to Frank and Alverta (Bell) Ahrens. She attended Emmet Consolidated High School. On October 18, 1925 she married Milton Morrissey in Worthington, Minn. After their marriage, the couple lived in Worthington until moving to the Los Angeles area where Mrs. Morrissey worked for McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Corp. for many years. She retired in 1967 and returned to Estherville in 1978. Mr. Morrissey died in 1957. Mrs. Morrissey was a member of St. Patrick’s Parish.

Survivors include two sisters: Mrs. Christina Timmons of Estherville and Mrs. Nancy Alexander of Des Moines and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, five brothers and three sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 19, 1990)
