Spirit Lake – Services for Wilbert Louis Krier, 68, of Spirit Lake and formerly of Estherville, will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Estherville with Father Thomas Topf officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. He died Saturday, April 11, 1992 at Holy Family Hospital.
Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville from 4-8 p.m. Monday. Legion of Mary mass will be prayed at 4 p.m. and Vigil service at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel.
He was born Aug. 13, 1923 near Estherville, the son of Louis and Ella (Hageman) Krier and graduated from Estherville High School in 1942. On Jan. 23, 1946 he was united in marriage with Lorene Young at Estherville. The couple farmed and he did custom combining and corn shelling. The family moved into Estherville in 1966 and he worked for Estherville Implement 26 years before retiring in 1989. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife Lorene of Spirit Lake; two daughters: Mrs. Dennis (Cindy) White, Estherville and Mrs. Mike (Sherry) Rosenberg, Hartley; six grandchildren; two sisters, Janet Adkins and Judy Unger.
He was preceded in death by his parents. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 13, 1992)
