Mrs. Richard Ihlan Dies Following Year’s Illness
After an illness of over a year, Mrs. Richard M. Ihlan passed away at her home last Thursday [January 1, 1948] . Mrs. Ihlan was a resident of this city since 1902. She came here when a young lady with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kilgore. She attended the schools here and was employed in the Eldeed milliner store before her marriage to Richard Ihlan on August 11, 1919.

The Ihlans moved to Pipestone where they resided two years and then returned to this city to make their home. She was always affiliated with the Methodist Church and was a member of the V.F.W. auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband and one daughter, Mrs. Robert Tvedte, her mother, and one sister, Mrs. C.B. Griffith.

Funeral services were held from the home Saturday afternoon at 2:30, the Rev. C.J. Semans offi- [line missing] Side cemetery. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, January 8, 1948)
