Mrs. Hoppe’s Rites Set
Ayrshire – Funeral services for Mrs. Leo (Anna) Hoppe, 76, Ayrshire, will be 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, at the Henry Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ben Tuininga of the Plymouth Brethren Church, Minneapolis, officiating and burial at the East Side Cemetery. She passed away Wednesday morning at Holy Family Hospital.

She was born Dec. 11, 1898 in Chicago to William and Anna Bower and received her education in Chicago schools. She was married April 7, 1926 to Leo Hoppe in Brownsville, Tex. They were farmers and lived in Texas, Kansas, Iowa and Minnesota before moving back to Iowa. She had been a resident of the Good Samaritan Center since February 1974.

Mrs. Hoppe is survived by her husband, Leo, three sons, Clarence, Belgrade, Minn.; Roy, Sheldon; and Bert, Ayrshire; eight grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. William Wiseman, Laferia, Tex.; and Mrs. Margaret Douglas, Brownsville, Tex.
