C.G. Heinrich Rites Thursday
Funeral services for Charles G. Heinrich, 82, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Estherville. Heinrich died Monday afternoon, Oct. 4, at Holy Family Hospital following a lingering illness.

He was born June 29, 1889, at Blairstown, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Gustav Heinrich. He farmed east of Gruver 40 years and retired in 1958. He was married to Tilla M. Stein at Cedar Rapids Feb. 14, 1917.

Heinrich had been secretary of the Swan Lake School District 30 years, was a member of the Farm Bureau 50 years and was a director of Farm Services Company 15 years.

Survivors include his wife, Tilla, and three daughters, Mrs. Jack (Mary Ann) Cairns, Portland, Ore., Mrs. Carl C. (Ruth) Haugen, Kenosha, Wis., and Mrs. Francis W. (Eleanor) Copeland, Prophetstown, Ill. There are five sisters. They are Mrs. Arthur Brown, Elsie Heinrich, Mrs. Henry Wold, Mrs. Gerald Woodell and Mrs. C.C. Richards, all of Pasadena, Calif. There are five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers.

The Rev. Oscar Engebretson will officiate at the services and burial will be at the East Side Cemetery. Reese-Henry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Friends may call there until noon on Thursday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 6, 1971)
