Mrs. Hatland Succumbs to Heart Disease
Mrs. Joe Hatland, 54, of near Estherville, died 8 a.m. today at Holy Family hospital of heart disease and complications. She had been hospitalized about two weeks and had been suffering from a heart condition for a number of years.

She was born in Schaller, Dec. 2, 1895, and received her education there. On Sept. 12, 1923, she married Joe Hatland of Estherville and the couple has farmed near Estherville ever since, most of the time on the present farm.

She was a member of Estherville Lutheran church.

Survivors include one brother, Justus Peterson of Estherville, four sisters, Mrs. William Stick of Estherville, Mrs. Andrew Andreasen of Wallingford, Mrs. Julius Hansen of Schaller and Mrs. Frederick Dreeson of Hartington, Neb.
