George Harvey Funeral Today at Gruver
Funeral services were held this afternoon at Gruver Presbyterian church for George A. Harvey, 68, who died Tuesday, May 9, 1972, at Holy Family Hospital.

Burial was in East Side cemetery at Estherville.

Honorary pallbearers were Wallace Brown, Fred Hall, Wesley Jones, Julian Roberts, Steward Ullensvang and T.A. Winterton.

Active pallbearers were Lawrence Hanson, Don Kirchner, Lee Shultz, Kenneth Thiel, James Whitehouse and Robert Woods.

The Rev. Neal Armstrong officiated at the service and Fuhrman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

George Alexander Harvey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Will Harvey, was born Nov. 27, 1903, at Estherville. He received his education in the rural schools of Emmet County.

In 19-- he was married to Mabel Olson at Estherville Lutheran Church. She died in 1945. In 1950 he was married to Gertrude Rasmussen at the Spencer First Lutheran church in Spencer.

He was employed by the Northern Lumber Co. in Gruver and the Graves Grain Co. in Gruver, and also farmed south of farm.

He was a member of the Gruver Presbyterian church.

Mr. Harvey is survived by his wife, Gertrude; two daughters, Mrs. Stanley Jorgensen (Mildred) of Ringsted, and Ann at home; one son, Roy, a student at Iowa State University in Ames; one sister, Ida Harvey of Gruver; three brothers, Ed of Gruver, Robert and William, both of rural Estherville; three grandchildren, Scott, Derrick and Robin Willman of Ringsted. He was preceded in death by his parents. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 11, 1972)
