Claude Griffith Funeral Held
Claude Griffith, 75, died at 9:40 p.m. at Holy Family Hospital Friday, Sept. 4.

He was born Oct. 31, 1894, at Harley, to Albert and Lena Griffith. He received his education at the Hartley and Spencer schools.

November 26, 1920, he was married to Florence Kilgore at Jackson, Minn. He lived in Estherville most of his life and was employed by Gamble-Robinson.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Howard (Emogene) Croner, of Estherville and two grandsons, Jeff and Brian Croner, two brothers, Jesse of Estherville; Art of Brainard, Minn.; Merle of Hartley; and one sister, Mrs. Roy Kelly of Austin, Minn. He was preceded in deth by his parents, wife, one sister and an infant son.

Services were held Monday at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Richard Pearson officiating.

Burial was in the East Side Cemetery. Reese-Henry Funeral Home was in charge. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 8, 1970)
