Mrs. Susie Grems Dies
Mrs. Susie Grems, 80, of Estherville, died Sunday [October 2, 1966] afternoon at the Good Samaritan Center, where she had been a resident since last December.

The former Susie Louise Brannan was born Jan. 6, 1886, at Pecatonica, Ill., to George and Etta Brannan. She received her education in Illinois and in Emmet County, where she moved with her parents in 1899.

Her family farmed south of Gruver.

April 29, 1909, she was married to Walter Grems at Estherville. They farmed near Gruver until 1945, when they moved to Estherville.

Her husband died in 1962.

Mrs. Grems is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Edna Julius of Estherville; three sons, Willis, Lester and Merle, all of Estherville; 17 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Henry (Zadie) Krieger of Lockport, Ill.

Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Reese-Henry Funeral Home, Rev. H. Alan Wirtz officiating. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery.
