Russell Eike Services Set
Estherville – James Russell Eike, 70, Estherville, passed away Tuesday [November 5, 1974] at Holy Family Hospital, Estherville.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the Christian Church with the Rev. James Harmon officiating. Burial will be in the Eastside Cemetery.

Mr. Eike was born Aug. 13, 1904 in Estherville and was educated in the Estherville schools. On May 22, 1930 he was married to Helen M. Keyser at Spirit Lake. She passed away Dec. 2, 1968. He was remarried on March 16, 1970 to Gertrude Friesner. He had operated a motel in Estherville for many years and had been a school bus driver for 13 years.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Joleen Jensen, Red Wing, Minn.; Jack R. Eike, Storm Lake; three stepsons; two stepdaughters; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and 15 step-grandchildren.

Mr. Eike was preceded in death by his first wife, one son, his parents, two brothers and one sister.

Friends may call at the Fuhrman Funeral Home until noon Thursday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 6, 1974)
