Mrs. E. Clements Dies; Funeral Set Monday
Mrs. Emma Clements, 88, died at 10 a.m. Friday at the Good Samaritan Center in Estherville, where she had been a resident since October, 1965.She was born at Baltic, S.D., on Aug. 17, 1882, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jens Oyan. She was married Dec. 26, 1909, to Lloyd L. Clements. They farmed most of their lives in Emmet County near Estherville. He was also affiliate with the Northern Lumber Co. in the implement business. Mr. Clements died March 3, 1937.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Elsie Roben and Mrs. Lester Ramsey, both of Estherville; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, John.
Services for Mrs. Clements will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Gruver United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Neal Armstrong officiating. Burial will be in the East Side Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville any time on Sunday until 11 a.m. Monday, when the casket will be taken to the church in Gruver. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 20, 1970)
