Clair Bringle, City Insurance Man Dies
Claire Raymond Bringle, 53, Estherville insurance agent, died at 12:45 Sunday, April 2, 1972, at Holy Family Hospital as the result of a heart condition.He was born Aug. 11, 1918, in Estherville, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Bringle. He received his education in the Superior schools.
He was married Feb. 24, 1945, to Norma Berntson at Taylor, Wis. He had operated an insurance agency in Estherville since 1945. He served in the army in World War II.
Bringle was a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife and two sons, Charles and Bruce, at home; three brothers, the Rev. Albert Bringle of Story City, Elwin and Lubie Bringle of Estherville; and one sister, Mrs. Beulah Riley of Los Angeles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Estherville Lutheran Church, the Rev. Steve Englestad officiating. Burial will be in East Side cemetery where there will be graveside military rites.
Friends may call at Reese-Henry Funeral Home after 9 a.m. Tuesday until noon Wednesday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 3, 1972)
