Mrs. Elina Smithberg, wife of Jacob Smithberg, died Oct. 10, 1885, aged 34 years, 8 months and 13 days. [dob February 3, 1851] Her babe one month old died Oct. 11, and was buried in the coffin with its mother. (Northern Vindicator, Estherville, IA, October 16, 1885)
