Rudolf Abel, 64, Estherville, Dies at Home
Rudolf Philipp Abel, 64, died at 8:15 p.m. yesterday at his home after a lingering illness.

He was born Aug. 8, 1904, in Berlin, Germany, and was educated at the University of Berlin and the University of Vienna. He and his family came to Estherville from Europe in 1949.

Survivors are his wife, Marguerite, and three sons, Rolf, Peter, and Rudolf, Jr.

Private family services are tentatively set for Friday. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery. Fuhrman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 28, 1969)
